Marrakech to Fez Tour Description
This tour can also be made departing from Fez to Marrakech. The price and visiting destinations are the same just going on the inverse order of trip.
Day 1: Marrakech – Telouet – Ait Benhaddou
After breakfast, early departure to Telouet via the mountain of hight Atlas passing through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass reaching 2,260 m , visit of the Kasbah of Pacha Glaoui in Telouet (lunch in the place). Afternoon tracks to Ait Ben Haddou via the Ounila valley with its Berber villages. Diner and over night in hotel in Ait Ben Haddou.
Day 2: Ait Benhaddou- Ouarzazate – Skoura – Kellat M’Gouna – Rose valley – Dades Gorges
Leaving Ait Ben Haddou towards Ouarzazate and Skoura where we’ll have a quick 20 minutes visit of the Amredhyle Kasbah, one of the wonders of the southern “Route of the thousand kasbahs”.
Continuing our journey through the Valley of the Roses where cross 50km off-road on Valley and lunch on the way then track road to Ait Youl Kasbah. Before heading Dades valley and Dades gorges where you will spend the night. Diner and over night in hotel.
Day 3: Dades Gorges – Boumalne – Tinghir – Gorges du Todra – Tinjdad – Touroug – Erfoud – Merzouga
After breakfast departure to Boumalne and Tinghir, walk around the Tinerghir Palm Plantations. We drive to Tinjedad to have lunch and visit Touroug Palm Plantations reaching Erfoud town for a visit of a local fossil craft workshop. Continuing to the fascinating dunes of Erg Chebbi, The Dunes of Merzouga.
We now switch from our 4×4 to camels, where you’ll be taken on a camel ride on the dunes to enjoy the Sun set on the dunes and overnight on a hotel. Dinner and over night in hotel.
Day 4: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Merzouga
After breakfast you will make an amazing trip around the dunes while passing by Merzouga, the wandering deposit, the village of Khamliya, (village of the Gnaoua) mines of Mifiss, the plates desert meeting the Berber nomads of the desert, oasis Tissardemine, and return to the hotel around 3 p.m. for camel trekking attending the sunset and spend the night in Berber tents in the middle of the dunes. Dinner and over night in Bivouac.
Day 5: Merzouga – Erfoud – Errachidia – Midelt – Azrou – Ifrane – Fez
Early morning departure to enjoy Sun rise on Sahara Desert, camel ride back to the hotel where the 4×4 are parked. Breakfast and departure to Errachidia via Erfoud passing the Ziz valley.
Continuing via Midelt to have lunch. Onwards driving to Fez via cedar woods at Azrou and the mountain of the middle Atlas.
